Where do I live ?

I mainly live in Mediterranea.

Which threats ?

I breed very slowly and seek quietness, which makes me very sensitive to human activites development. Water pollution and our increasing accidental captures by fishing nets severely reduced our numbers.

Kiwiwho’s word to save the giant devil ray

My preservation goes by the control and the establishment of reserves and by the fishermen sensitization, who have to free me quickly when I am captured. In the Pelagos sanctuary for example, I benefit from the fishing interdiction.
