Where does hyacinth macaw live ?

I live in Brazil, Bolivia or in Paraguay, in the tropical forest.

Which threats ?

Few years ago, I was hunted for my magnificent feathers, but men mainly wanted to get me as a pet. Now, another threat rests upon my head : deforestation.

Kiwiwho’s word to save the hyacinth macaw

From now on, trading me is forbidden. This measure neatly reduced the pressure I was undergoing. I don’t breed well in captivity. My survival will consequently come from the preservation of my natural habitat : the Amazonian forest.
