I live in occidental and central Africa, from Sierra Leone to Angola and Tanzania.

Which threats ?

I am one of the main domesticated birds in Europe, in United States and in the Middle-East : Since 1975, more than 1,3 million of mine have been captured, mostly to be sold to individuals.

Since 2016, my international trade is formally forbidden all over the world. If this decision is respected, it should raise my numbers anew. However, I am yet to be protected from my habitat destruction.
